Remaining Rooted Through Adversity

Save the Date for Gathering Leaves 2025, the international retreat for all Swedenborgian/New Church women! It will be an in-person and online event, held September 25–28, 2025, at the Temenos Retreat Center, a Swedenborgian facility and church, in West Chester, Pennsylvania, USA. The theme this year is “Remaining Rooted Through Adversity.”
This theme was chosen because there is so much turmoil, anger, and divisiveness in the world today, as well as our own stresses, challenges, turmoil and despair. How do we stay balanced? How do we do self-care? How do we set boundaries? How do we negotiate conflict? How do we stay rooted in our faith and trust in God? How do our Swedenborgian teachings guide us in these times and in our lives? What wisdom do we carry as women that might bring solutions and healing?
Consider participating as a workshop presenter or plenary speaker (remotely or in person), worship leader, music coordinator, musician or activity leader. We hope to offer a small honorarium.
There are so many ways to delve into this theme! Help us to make this a special retreat from which we can bring useful knowledge and skills back into our communities and world.
