2023 Theme: “The Four Basic Elements”
The ancient Greeks believed that everything was made up of four elements: earth, water, air, and fire. They described these elements not only as material substances, but also as having a spiritual, God-centered core. From astrology to religion, mysticism to pop culture, science to music, these elements have long been considered the essence of life.
At this retreat we will look at these four elements from our own unique Swedenborgian perspective along with wisdom from other traditions. The discussions and activities will be lively and fun. We will also plan and provide a brief presentation at the Cambridge Chapel worship service on Sunday morning.
Of course, there will be plenty of time for recreation, great food, exploring Cambridge, relaxing, and hanging out with friends, both old and new. I hope to see you there!
