The Lord was born for one purpose: to lead all people to heaven. He did not exclude anyone. All of his teachings show us how to love one another, and how to learn to do good in the world.
As Swedenborgians, we are one family, and welcome people of all faiths, all backgrounds, and all ways of life. This includes all our loved-ones in the LGBTQ+ community world-wide. We are your friends. “Come, let us reason together” (Isaiah 1:18). Join with us to live the life of love, truth, and compassion.
Meet Rev. Jay (he/him)
Rev. James H. (Jay) Barry, BCC, M.Div., is a hospital chaplain in Philadelphia. He has studied the theology of Swedenborg since he was a teenager, and provides emotional and spiritual support to people in a variety of ways.
