Today marks the first day of a transitional period for the changing of the guard in the Central Office of the Swedenborgian Church of North America. Brittany Price, who has been anchoring the office since 2020, will be leaving at the end of the month—her family has the exciting opportunity to live in New Zealand for the next few years.
The incoming manager, whose technical title is Operations Manager and Event Coordinator, is Jackie Shihadeh (pictured left).
Jackie spent her teen years in Bryn Athyn and attended Bryn Athyn College for a year before heading to the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, to complete her BFA in fine arts, and has been working in the arts and event planning for the past several years. Jackie was recently accepted at the Center for Swedenborgian Studies to pursue the online Certificate of Swedenborgian Studies and began coursework this month. She says, “I have always felt drawn to contributing to an organization that helps people on their spiritual journeys and engages with the teachings of Emanuel Swedenborg.”
We look forward to celebrating the outstanding work that Brittany has consistently delivered and wish for her to reap exciting benefits in her new journey as we welcome Jackie Shihadeh to the hub of our denominational community.
