WELCOME TO OUR CHURCH
Our mission is to provide a welcoming spiritual community that offers worship, useful support and resources for people seeking healing, restoration and regeneration.
Whatever you’re going through, you won’t be going through it alone. We will be with you; you’ll have a friend.
~ Rev. Renee Machiniak, M.Div.
~ We offer hybrid worship services throughout the year, meeting online zoom and in-person at the Royal Oak Women’s Clubhouse October through May and meeting outdoors under the ‘ole crabapple tree at our minister’s home June through September.
All are welcome!
~ We welcome you to join us online Zoom for Theological Thursdays on the first Thursday of the month from 10:00am – 11:00am. Our July theme: “Forgiveness”
~ We participate in an online Bible Study with Kendall United Methodist Church, currently studying “The Beatitudes” with Pastor Glenn Litchfield and his wife, Dorie, a member of both the Royal Oak Swedenborgian and Methodist Church. Newcomers are welcome!
~ Twice a year, church volunteers honor our veterans by cleaning local gravesites at Oakview Cemetery in Royal Oak and placing flags on each veteran’s grave.
~ We celebrate God’s gift of music with live musicians in worship on Sunday mornings and offering our annual Musical Extravaganza – this year we join with St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church in Madison Heights to offer a concert on Sunday afternoon October 19th.
~ During the colder weather months, we meet monthly for fun: Game Night!
~ Our minister serves as a Police Chaplain and Oncology Chaplain in the Royal Oak community and she enjoys serving as our denomination’s Youth Chaplain.
~ Our church is active in the Michigan Association with Almont Summer Camp, Teen and Adult Retreats and Flowerfest & Work Weekend. Our delegates attend annual Convention.
